3 April 2003The Universal House of Justice took a keen interest in reading your statement “Reflections on the Current Progress and Status of the United States Bahá’í Community during the Five Year Plan”, which it received along with your letter dated 23 December 2002. We have been asked to say that its expectations of significant achievements on your home front have been heightened by the indications this statement gives of a community vigorously engaged in exploiting opportunities to promulgate the Cause of God. Indeed, no opportunity could have been more aptly seized than that which prompted you to mount so public a commemoration as was planned for the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of the Bahá’í Revelation; here was a moment especially suited to refocusing attention on the Person and Mission of the Lord of Hosts. Of particular note to the House of Justice were the sections on pages 14 to 16 of the statement which reflected a welcome integration of thought on the essential elements of the Five Year Plan well worth emphasizing. Reports reaching the Bahá’í World Centre on the way in which the Regional Councils are responding have been especially gratifying. By now you will have received the House of Justice’s 17 January 2003 letter which analyzes the progress of the Plan’s core activities within the context of recently formed clusters, thus offering insights that should help refine perceptions as your Assembly makes further efforts to guide and stimulate the operation of the Plan in your community. You can be sure at all times that the House of Justice keeps your Assembly and community in its ardent supplications at the Holy Threshold for unceasing divine assistance and confirmations.
With loving Bahá’í greetings,
